What to expect

Always free. Always fun.

Dogwood bowling isn't your grandma's bowling alley — there's no fluorescent lighting, no dusty pin retriever, and no dad-rock soundtrack on repeat. We've reimagined the whole experience around hospitality, scratch-kitchen food, and a 80+ tap self-serve beer wall that's a few steps from your lane.

No game card required. No reservation needed. No staff to track down. Just walk over, grab the cues / bags / dice / blocks, and start playing. Lost a game piece? Ask at the bar and we'll replace it. That's the whole policy.

Game selection varies by location and season. Every Dogwood has pool and at least one outdoor-style game (cornhole or shuffleboard). Ellisville has the most variety. Free games are first-come, first-served.

Insider Knowledge

How to work the free games.

01

Claim a table early.

Pool and shuffleboard fill up fast on Fri/Sat nights. If a table opens up and you want it, claim it (rack a game) immediately — don't wait. There's an unspoken queue system.

02

Bring your own board games.

Especially for big family events. Our board game selection rotates, so if you have a specific favorite (Catan, Codenames, Wingspan), bring it. Tables hold all kinds of games.

03

Use free games between activities.

Waiting 15 min for a bowling lane? Cornhole. Kitchen taking a moment? Pool. Bachelorette party between karaoke songs? Giant Jenga. Free games fill every gap.

04

Tip your bartender.

The free games stay free because the bar covers the floor space. Buy a drink, buy some food, tip well — it keeps the whole ecosystem working.
